Week 505-506 - TellMeDaily Events - 04-24-2016
TellMeDaily Events
TellMeDaily.com is
Your Life Scheduler.
Everyone has recurring events in their life. Birthdays and anniversaries are important.
And you do not want to miss a car payment. Who would want to forget to play Pickleball every morning
at 8:00am? Here is our starting calendar from last week. The tasks and lists were completed.
We will add four events this week.
1) Walt's birthday on May 2nd.
2) Your anniversary on May 25th with an Alert.
3) A 36-month car payment starting on April 20th
4) Pickleball every weekday starting April 18th and ending
on May 20th.
To start, click on
Add➤ Event and the form below appears. There are more entry fields for an Event
than for a simple Task, but some may not have to be completed.
Title: You will always want a title as it appears on your calendar. For a birthday it will be a name.
Description: Use this space for expanded comments about your event. It is optional. If you do fill it in, it does not show on the calendar but it will show when you click on the event.
Cycle: This defines the frequency of the event. For a birthday it is Annually.
Every: The default is 1, as in Every Year for a birthday.
Starting (date): You must have a starting date. The default is the current date.
Ending: A birthday will go Forever. A car payment could have an ending date or a Repeat Count of 36 in our example.
Time: For our four samples, only Pickleball will have an exact time, 8:00am. The others can default to Midday.
You can change the time later if need be.
Alert: No Alert is the default. For the anniversary we will set a one month alert to make sure you have time to plan.
The empty Event form.
For a birthday, we will complete the Title, Cycle (Annually) and the Starting Date, then click Add.
You will be shown a sampling of the scheduled events for your review. If the dates are wrong you can easily
delete all birthday events and re-enter.
Adding the anniversary is just like a birthday: Title, Annually and Starting date.
We also added a 1 month alert to give us planning time before the big event.
After clicking Add we will again see a 5-year list of the scheduled events.
The Car Payment has a starting and ending date. We set the cycle to Monthly starting on the 20th.
There will be 36 payments, so we set the Repeat Count to 36.
And finally Pickleball. It is Weekday (not on Saturday or Sunday) at exactly 8:00am and ending on May 20th.
Your April schedule:
Advancing to May you see the birthday, anniversary, more Pickleball and the 2nd car payment. The anniversary
Alert appears on top of the calendar to make sure you realize your anniversary is this month.
The beauty of recurring Events is you enter them once and they will appear on your calendar until the ending date
or even forever.
Once posted, each occurrence of an event stands on its own. Click on an event and you can delete all remaining occurrences. Use this to start over if you mis-entered the data for an event.
All other actions affect only the single date of an event: Edit, Finish, Postpone, Skip, Waiting or Delete. Each action
will change the event for that one day only.
Events are easy to enter and using them, you'll Never Forget Again!
Next week we will cover
Services. Service scheduling shows the true strength of TellMeDaily.
All your vehicles and equipment can be scheduled for as many services as you wish. To speed your entry,
we have predefined dozens of services for motorhomes, RVs, cars, trucks, motorcycles and generators.
