Coming Home Again

After two months in Casa Grande, Arizona we have pulled up stakes and headed home.

We leave our beautiful site #950 just twenty feet from the dog park where Mandy congregates with her friends everyday at "Doggie Happy Hour".

Mandy meets with the bouvier one last time to have a little fun before we go.

We made one last visit to the Pickleball courts to get a few pics of some of the hundred players we spent time with.

Our son John was with us for the last two weeks at the fabulous Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort. Everyday he worked out at the gym, swam laps, played Pickleball, ate healthy and lost weight. On the way home we treated John to a variety of types of places to camp. First night was at a Phoenix-area Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Many Cracker Barrel's have Bus/RV parking and they allow you dry camp overnight. The next day we headed on to the Coachella Valley (Palm Springs area) and camped at Lake Cahuilla State Park, shown below. Great view from Pete's office. And a nice 2 and 1/2 mile walk around the lake for Ellen and John. John did it twice one day. Just $13.50 per night Monday to Thursday.

You can't pass through the valley without stopping to see Gordon and Karen at Outdoor Resort Indio. There is not a more beautiful landscaped place to live in an RV.

Just minutes away we stayed overnight at our favorite 4-home gated community with Clint and Jackie. You meet the nicest people playing Pickleball! It is always a treat to enjoy the excellent hospitality of these special friends.

Passing through North Hollywood or Valley Village as they like to say, we made a brief visit to Tom and Sue. We have been friends with them for over 40 years!

The next night was dry camping at Rincon Parkway just a few yards from the Pacific Ocean. At $27.00, this was the most expensive stay of our trip home.

And as usual, Mandy is highly motivated when we travel.

We will be in our home area for the month of April. Since our readership now spreads across the USA, maybe we can bring some pictures of the local area for those from other states.
