Week 274-275 - Jojoba Hills Pickleball - 11-20-2011
Two Quiet Weeks at the Ranch
Leaving Los Algodones, Mexico, we headed to Jojoba Hills RV Resort
in Aguanga, California.
Of the 317 RV parks we have visited, Jojoba Hills is in our top 5.
This park was built and is maintained by volunteers. It is a
Escapees co-op park where members buy a "share" which entitles them
to live on an RV site in the park. They pay a reasonable monthly fee
for utilities. At such time that they want to move out, they turn
in their share and get their full share investment back! The sites
in this park are large, in a natural setting and placed to give
maximum privacy to each home.
This is the park where we learned to play Pickleball. Some of our
teachers are shown here: Ron, Gordon, Bill, Lois, Jim and John.
Their average age is over 70 and they play every morning for two to
three hours. Gordon and Lois were the first to teach us the rules
and basic strategy. Sadly, this will be our last visit with them as
they have purchased a home in Hemet and will be moving before we
might return.
This was our 7th visit to Jojoba and it is always a pleasure.
We will spend next week in Oceanside and then head back home for the
month of December. We pray that you will be blessed at Thanksgiving
and we look forward to our visit at home. Until then, Love, Pete,
Ellen and Mandy.
